This Winchester manufactured third variation hammer with the later checkering pattern on the spur and is for model 1894 lever action rifle & carbine produced circa 1904 through 1942. This hammer is in very good condition exhibiting a mixture of thinning original blue finish with a brownish gray patina. (file photo)
